    Facebook Account Temporarily Unavailable

What will you do when your Facebook Account suddenly becomes unavailable?

For a couple of seconds my Facebook account was temporarily unavailable. I could have written about this on my Social Media blog but it's currently temporarily unavailable too.

You see, I've gotten my LinkedIn account suspended, my blog down for several days, my Tumblr account suspended, my Reddit account unavailable - all of these happened in just one week. Yet the weight of all of these didn't seem to matter to me when compared to what just happened: My Facebook account was unavailable for about 5-10 seconds.

In that span of time, I thought about what I could have done as a backup plan. Perhaps I should have downloaded my account activities, perhaps I should have connected with my Facebook connections beyond Facebook and many other "I should have" thoughts came rushing on my mind.

I have to manage over 20 pages on Facebook as an Online Community Manager/Social Media Strategist and I live and breathe social media (figuratively and actually).

I thought about how am I supposed to manage those pages, how am I supposed to re-join exclusive Facebook groups if I have to re-build my Facebook profile. I thought about the over 3,000 Facebook connections I have built over the years, all the Facebook updates, the photos (which I always delete from my computer and camera as soon as I upload them on Facebook).

For one second, I realized Facebook owns me.
    My data.
    My work.

And since I didn't do anything stupid, there it was.

Hitting the Refresh button 3 times, my Facebook account was back. Nothing to panic and worry about but long enough for me to ponder upon several things:

What will you do if your Facebook account gets gets permanently suspended?

Do you have a back-up plan in place just in case that happens?
